Great Quality Backpack

Alright everybody. Today I'm going to talk about my Snugpak Bergen backpack. It's a rucksack style backpack and has been designed for both military and civilian applications. It has no external frame and the quality is excellent. My Bergen backpack has been on family camping trips, hunting trips, and it will do whatever I need. In fact, I could put way too much weight in there because I think I could take this with me, and I can take this with me, and the next thing I know it's just way too heavy. I am not a week guy and yet it can still get way too heavy.

Lots Of Room For All Your Bug Out Needs

The Snugpak Bergen is made in the UK and its volume is about 6100 cu. in. That translates to about 100 Liters which includes the two rocket Pak side pouches which are 15 Liters apiece. Its dimensions are 28" x 32"and when empty the Snugpak Bergen weighs about 5 1/2 pounds so it is very light. Do not let that fool you though,it is a very sturdy pack. The fabric is 500D heavy duty nylon and it is also hydration system compatible. The zippers are heavy duty 2K zippers.

Modularity

The two rocket Pak side pouches detach and Snugpak does make a yoke that you can attach them to in order to create a smaller backpack. I personally have not purchased the yoke because at this point I have not felt the need for it. After taking off the two rocket packs, you will see two mesh pouches on each side of the main section. Inside the main section you will find a pouch for a hydration system as well as aluminum strips that act as an internal frame.

Strong And Comfortable

At the top of the pack the first thing you notice is a pull strap which is very strong and well stitched. It is strong enough that if you're dropped in the field, your buddy could grab the strap and drag you away. The back of the pack is very heavily padded and acts nicely as a thoracic upper back support. The shoulder straps and hip straps are both well padded and a chest strap is included. Once the pack is properly secured to your back it is very comfortable and will stay comfortable even during long hikes.

Hide In The Rain

At the bottom of the pack you will find another zipper which encloses two waterproof covers. One cover is a desert sand color and the other cover is a Woodland camouflage color. So depending on your environment you can choose the cover to use for best concealment.

A Great Backpack For Any Situation

After a good deal of research I chose the Bergen because of its durability, comfort, and capacity. If SHTF, I would prefer to bug in but if I have to bug out I want to be sure I have the best possible equipment for the situation. In my opinion I don't think I could have found anything better.
